Google Wave Waves Goodbye

Well, that was quick. After only a little bit more than a year since its launch in May 2009, Google has announced they would be stopping any more development

of the Google Wave platform.

Maybe users didn’t see the point in Wave, or maybe Google didn’t explain it well to the masses, Google’s reasoning behind unplugging the software from the cyberspace is that it “has not seen the user adoption we would have liked.

Fortunately, instead of Google laying the Wave team off, they will instead be assigning them to other projects inside Google.

Personally, I thought Wave had a good amount of potential but had a messy interface and was fairly confusing for a basic user, such as installing some apps/extensions.
